The Heart Guild, an impactful part of the American Heart Association – Houston Division, is a volunteer organization founded in 1983 to raise awareness of Heart Disease and Stroke. Our membership works hard year-round to make a difference in our community by giving of our time, talent and raising funds to make a difference in our community for you, your family, friends and loved ones.

The Guild will once again support the AHA in the 2023 – 2024 year by raising funds and awareness through events like the 2024 Heart Ball, 2024 Shop With Heart Card, and 2024 Go Red for Women Luncheon.

We are fueled by the AHA’s mission to be a relentless force for a world of longer, healthier lives.

About the Heart Guild of Houston

Our purpose is to further the fundraising efforts of the American Heart Association through special events. The American Heart Association Guild (Guild), is a subtask force of the Houston Division of the American Heart Association, Texas Affiliate, Inc.

The American Heart Association (AHA) is the oldest and largest voluntary health agency dedicated to the fight against heart diseases and stroke. In 1924, a handful of pioneering physicians and social workers founded the AHA. Now, it has more than 22.5 million volunteers and supporters who work tirelessly to eliminate these diseases.

Since 1983, The Guild has worked tirelessly to raise funds on behalf of the AHA. Through a number of events and activities, we pool our wide-ranging talents and interests, so that we can help the AHA carry on its mission to fund research and raise awareness about preventing and identifying serious heart-health issues. Abundant opportunities exist within the organization, allowing each member to utilize their experiences and interests.

As a member of the Guild, you have the opportunity to contribute your time and talents in a variety of ways. There are daytime projects as well as evening events and activities; your volunteer commitments can be tailored to the time you have available.
